The new vehicle warranty offered by Chevy also includes what is offered by the Federal Emissions Control Warranty. The emission control system on your vehicle is covered and if it is certified for CA regulations, it will also be covered by the California Emission Control System Warranty.
The warranty that you get will depend heavily on the emissions component and the type of vehicle that you have.
If you have a light-duty car like a Malibu, the components would be warranted for 2 years/24,000 miles. In some instances, catalytic converters, engine control modules, and other emissions-related components may be warranted for up to 8 years/80,000 miles.
If you have a heavy-duty truck, such as a Silverado, the emissions-related components would be warranted for up to 8 years or 80,000 miles.
